To celebrate the release of her film, So Unreal on Blu-ray and VOD, indie film icon and music video director Amanda Kramer teamed up with Letterboxd to curate a list of the coolest, most insane cyber-cinema oddities from within the film’s aesthetic universe.

Drake Macro Video Series
Drake and Partynextdoor released 19 “macro videos” for their song “Somebody Loves Me.” The two artists teamed with streamer Kai Cenat to offer finalists $15,000 each to create a 30-60-second clip of the song. They also posted the treatments online. Our favorite of the bunch is the one directed by Justice Silvera.

MTV VMA Winners
The MTV VMAs were last week. And once again the Best Director award went to an artist-directed video. The other technical category winners include Wesley Goodrich for Art Direction, Xiaolong Liu for Cinematography, William Town for Editing, Robbie Blue for Choreography, and Vania Heymann & Tal Baltuch for VFX.
